If your membership expired on December 31, you have been emailed a notice for renewal. Your continued support is so very much appreciated and SSCIA looks forward to being able to provide our full programming.
2026 Memberships is $40/y: Business $75/y will be due in January 2026 if not already paid.

2026 Stormont Seed and Forage Show entries are due on Feb 25 from 10:30-11:30 am at the Crysler Community Center.  Results will be displayed at the Crysler Farm Show on February 26, 6-9 pm, and February  27, 10 am -4 pm.  Presentations are at 3 pm.

2026 Forage Masters Competition Rules
Objective: To promote High-Quality Forage Production in Stormont County, through a friendly competition with a set of Criteria.
Procedure: Each participant will be responsible for collecting a sample of the 1st cut. Judging will take place prior to cutting 2nd cut. It would be nice to have a sample of 2nd cut to judge but not necessary. Judging will be done in accordance with the past Forage Master Competition.
A recent Soil Test is part of the requirement and also a few management questions will be asked.

2026 Stormont County Fair – September 4 entries for Field Crops and Commercial Grains.  See www.stormontfair.ca for available classes.

2026 High Yield Corn Competition
Fee- $50 deadline Dec15; Prize: Trophy 1st 2 bags of corn seed, 2nd 1 bag of corn seed and 3rd place get $100; need to have 10ac of 1 hybrid, have an outside person on site to do the yield on 1 acre, use weigh wagon/elevator for weight corrected to 15.5%. SAMPLE to be tested on a certified scale. Harvested weight is used.
Deadline December 15 for harvest results and entry fee.
