Webinar: Feeding the Crop, Fueling the Soil: The Role of Soil Biology in Nitrogen Cycling
October 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join Amanda Mitchell as she discusses the role of soil microorganisms in nitrogen cycling and how best management practices aim to “harness” the potential of the microbial community for crop nitrogen availability.
Amanda grew up on a grain farm in Southern Saskatchewan and is currently a PhD student at the University of Guelph studying the impact of BMP’s on nitrogen cycling microorganisms under winter wheat with Dr. Kari Dunfield.
When? October 22 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Feeding the Crop, Fueling the Soil: The Role of Soil Biology in Nitrogen Cycling is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for farmers with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the Nitrogen Management category.
