SUMMARY:A Systems Approach to Organic Grain and Livestock Production (Guelph Organic Conference Workshop)
DESCRIPTION:Spend a day learning from one of Canada’s top organic experts – Dr. Martin Entz . This pre-conference workshop is designed for agronomists who work with organic producers as well as grain and livestock farmers considering transitioning to organic and current practitioners interested in learning the theory and latest science. Topics will include: \n\nNutrient management\nSeeds and seeding systems\nInsect and disease management\nImproving soil health with rotational grazing\, cover cropping\, and more\n\nDr Entz’s research focuses on ecologically-integrated farming systems and empowering farms with the knowledge and other tools required to design sustainable farming systems.
