The past winter has given us all much more time to think over how we go about production practices on our crop operations. There’s been an abundance of excellent virtual education sessions to participate in and learn from other growers and researchers about how growing crops can be done using new methods of tillage, cover crops, planting, fertilizing etc.
At ALPINE®, we’re pleased to continue to modernize crop fertility with the introduction of more products containing our unique K-Tech® potassium technology. When applied as a starter fertilizer K-Tech potassium offers unequalled solubility and crop safety with the added benefit of providing a food source for soil mycorrhizae. This year we’re adding ALPINE K19-S™ to our soil applied products lineup. ALPINE K19-S is a companion product to be added to UAN solutions and will increase nitrogen use efficiency, as well as providing high quality potassium and sulphur at a time when crop demand is high for these nutrients.
For foliar fertilizer applications ALPINE’s K-Tech based products bring the very best potassium uptake for leaf feeding. Add to this, excellent crop safety and tank-mixing ability, and they’re the ultimate foliar products for increased crop yields. ALPINE F18 Max® is very well suited for earlier crop applications, often mixed with herbicides or early season fungicides. ALPINE F18 Max contains a heavy micronutrient load with 1% Zn and 1% Mn which are key micronutrients for our common crops. ALPINE K20-S has been around a few years now and progressive growers are using it to boost potassium and sulfur levels slightly later in the season on soybeans, corn and canola, often spraying it with a fungicide program.
Boron is the micronutrient that receives much attention on all crops now. Talk to your dealer or ALPINE DSM about how small amounts of this critical micronutrient can bring yield gains on corn as well as other crops.
Something else new for ALPINE is our partnership with Precision Planting to offer an equipment rebate toward the purchase of their planter equipment upgrades. A rebate of up to $450 per row is available when purchasing qualifying ALPINE products. Precision Planting is finding exciting new ways to re-allocate how crop nutrients are applied and bringing yield gains to crops from improved placement of high-quality fertilizer products.
