DESCRIPTION:UTRCA is hosting a field day at the Thorndale Demonstration Farm on Thursday September 5th from 10am-12pm \nJoin us on a tour of the Thorndale Demonstration Farm to learn about the suite of agricultural best management practices (BMPs) implemented on the farm. DESCRIPTION:The annual Rural Landowner Workshop is headed to the Embro Community Centre on March 21st from 7 pm – 9 pm. SUMMARY:UTRCA Soil Health Tailgate Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority for a Soil Health Tailgate Tour on October 25. This tour aims to highlight the importance of agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) including cover crops\, temporary set asides\, and rotational grazing for preserving and improving soil health\, while increasing production and profitability for farmers. Attendees will visit two farms near St. Marys to chat with local farmers and conservation staff about their insights and first-hand experiences in implementing these BMPs for soil conservation\, and hear updates on ongoing demonstration trials related to these practices. \nStop 1: \n1430 Rd 132\, St. Marys \nStop 2:\n34089 Stonehouse Line\, Granton \nParticipants will travel in their own vehicles to two stops.
