Norfolk Compaction Day

Norfolk SCIA held a Compaction Day on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Jeff Purdy’s farm in Courland with the assistance of the Ontario Compaction Team and OMAFRA staff.  After two days of weighing and testing equipment, a field day highlighting the results of this testing along with other stations discussing the layers (horizons) of soil, cover crops, and tire technology were held.  An information session will take place in late winter 2024 that will provide a synopsis of the results of the Compaction Day.  This day would not have been possible without the generous sponsors and participants.
