Norfolk Compaction Day

Norfolk SCIA held a Compaction Day on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Jeff Purdy’s farm in Courtland with the assistance of the Ontario Compaction Team and OMAFRA staff.   After two days of weighing and testing the equipment the equipment for compaction at either road or field tire pressure, a field day highlighting the results of this testing along with stations discussing the layers (horizons) of soil, cover crops, and tire technology were held.  An information session will take place in late winter 2024 will provide a synopsis of the results of the day.  This day could not be possible without the generous sponsors and participants.
