Hello Everyone,

Some much needed moisture finally arrived after a fairly dry start to the season. While planting conditions and initial emergence were mostly good, some soybean replants occurred due to moisture variability and crusting in heavier soils. For most of the winter wheat, cooler temps during flowering and now moisture for grain fill are positive factors for a record acreage planted crop.

The Lambton Soil & Crop will be hosting our Summer Twilight Tour August 9th in Sombra Township. The theme for the tour is Soil Health & Drainage with hands-on demonstrations and displays. All members and non-members are welcomed to attend.
