ALPINE® “Reallocation, The Pursuit of Efficiency.”

Written by Steve McQueen.

As spring Marches forward, we begin to wrap up attending farm shows, board meetings and Soil & Crop presentations. Stimulated by many different topics, concepts, and products, we will begin focusing on how we may incorporate a few of these ideas into our crop plan to grow our businesses forward.

At the root of each of these business decisions, there needs to be a purpose, and that purpose is derived from developing a solution to alleviate issues that may be limiting our crop’s potential. Spinning this from a plant’s perspective, each roots’ decision is initiated by the plant, and the increased crop potential is in the solutions that surrounds that root. Managing these solutions in our minds as well as in our soils, will allow us to advance our crop production.

With these decisions being pondered in so many directions, balancing out our wants verses our needs should remain a focus. Where do our challenges reside, and what tools do we have at our disposal to address them? Look at soil type and nutrient availability, matched with seed varieties and crop rotations. Crop protection plans and the flexibility to pivot throughout the crop year is a continual challenge, while balanced fertility will remain key to influence these decisions.

At ALPINE, we look to better understand balanced fertility within a crop, including a better understanding of crop production management. Are applications made at periods of influences, or do we fertilize at our convenience? By having a clearer understanding of a crop’s growth cycle, we can better influence growth.

Periods of Influence: Certain times within the crop’s growth cycle, you can influence growth!

Establishment – getting everything off to a good start with good emergence, early plant vigor and uniformity

Early Vegetative – building plant structure, increase plant energy and set the stage for reproduction

Reproductive – supporting flower set and development, improve pollination the viability of pollen and fruit set

Crop Fill and Maturation – supporting the development and abundance of high-quality crop

Utilizing these periods of influence as a guide, ALPINE has created our Start2Finish® fertility program, to assist you in honing your crop production management skills. ALPINE Bio-K® starts with ALPINE G241-S®, In-Furrow Technology, designed to enhance establishment. Increased plant energy and metabolism is the driver behind ALPINE Bio-K foliar products, and with the most soluble potassium source in the industry, staying in solution, and being the solution for nutrient transport, increased root tips, and a healthier rhizosphere, creates the difference.

As you continually look at ways to reallocate your resources for improved results, reach out to your ALPINE Dealer’s and District Sales Managers to begin applying your ALPINE Bio-K strategies to amplify the genetic potential of our crops.
