SUMMARY:OSCIA Summer Event: Share the Wisdom Farm Day & Bus Tour
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun-filled learning event this summer? Get ready for the annual OSCIA Summer Event! This year’s event will take place in the Ottawa Rideau region. \n \nFriday\, August 16th – OSCIA Share the Wisdom & LCFA Taste of Success \nThis exciting learning day will be hosted at Leacock Farms (220 Leacock Rd\, Jasper\, ON\, K0G 1G0). There will be lots of learning opportunities\, including an informative panel on cover crops featuring local farmers and experts and a spray clinic. Don’t miss the Leeds County Federation of Agriculture’s Taste of Success lunch – you’ll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch while celebrating LCFA’s award winners. With an equipment display and booths\, kids zone and plenty of opportunities for networking\, this event will be fun for the whole family! \nTickets are $25 per person. Children under 12 are free. \n \nClick on photo to enlarge. \nNote: The Cover Crop Panel (see agenda) is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Events (KSE) for farmers with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) applications in the Cover Cropping category \nSaturday\, August 17th – Bus Tour  \nJoin OSCIA the following day for a bus tour highlighting local farms and businesses in the Ottawa Rideau region\, including Burnbrae Farms and Canadian Wollastonite. The bus tour will depart from and return to The Pier Church\, 806 Chelsea St\, Brockville\, ON K6V 5T4. \nRegistration for the bus tour will open at 8:30 AM. The bus will depart The Pier Church parking lot at 9:00 AM\, and return no later than 5:00 PM. \nA packed lunch and snacks will be included. \nTickets are $30 per person. \n \nClick on photo to enlarge. \nPre-registration is required for both events.  \nSponsorship opportunities are available.
