DESCRIPTION:This webinar and the following submission of field surface photos to AAFC’s Residue Measurement Survey are an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for farmers with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the Nitrogen Management and Cover Cropping categories. \nJoin OSCIA for an informative webinar on Enhancing Soil Health with Organic Amendments and Cover Cropping. \nFirst\, we’ll hear from Adrian Gutensperger who is the owner of Guntensperger Farm Services Ltd. located outside of Seaforth. He offers custom forage harvesting and specializes in dry manure application serving customers across Southern Ontario. \nThen we’ll hear from an expert on cover cropping discussing the importance of cover crops for soil health and water quality! Tune in to learn about all the ways cover crops can improve your soils! \nFinally\, we will be hearing from Sam Schultz (AAFC) about the uses of satellite imagery in agriculture!
