SUMMARY:An Introduction to Rotational Grazing and Pasture Crop Production
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Certified Crop Advisor Association (CCA) and Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) have partnered to deliver training and educational resources to Ontario agrologists. With a focus on cover crops\, nitrogen management\, and rotational grazing\, these sessions will support the objectives of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund. Check out the full webinar series schedule here. \nJoin us on Wednesday\, February 11 with Christine O’Reilly for an introductory talk on rotational grazing and pasture crop production. Pasture management involves managing crop production\, animal behaviour\, and animal nutrition all at the same time. Forage quality is the interaction between crop production and animal nutrition. This presentation discusses how rotational grazing and pasture crop production work together to create a sustainable\, productive forage system—one that supports animal health\, improves soil function\, and strengthens whole‑farm resilience. \nThis event is free to attend. CEUs 1.0 Crop Management available (Pending Approval). This webinar is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for applicants with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the Rotational Grazing category (only available for the live webinar). \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Connecting Forage Quality and Animal Health (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:The Ontario Certified Crop Advisor Association (CCA) and Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) have partnered to deliver training and educational resources to Ontario Advisors. With a focus on cover crops\, nitrogen management\, and rotational grazing\, these sessions will support the objectives of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund. Check out the full webinar series schedule here. \nJoin us on Wednesday\, February 25 with Kristen\, a ruminant nutritionist and managing partner of Blue Rock Animal Nutrition (Alberta)\, to examine how forage nutritive value shifts under rotational grazing management and directly influences rumen function and animal performance. While highlighting practical approaches for integrating forage analysis\, Kristen also emphasizes aligning pasture quality to class-specific nutrient requirements and much more! \nFunding for this project has been provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS) – On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF). \nThis event is free to attend. CEUs 1.0 Crop Management. This webinar is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for applicants with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the Rotational Grazing Systems category (only available for the live webinar). \nREGISTER HERE
