DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun-filled learning event this summer? Get ready for the annual OSCIA Summer Event! This year’s event will take place in the Ottawa Rideau region. \n \nFriday\, August 16th – OSCIA Share the Wisdom & LCFA Taste of Success \nThis exciting learning day will be hosted at Leacock Farms (220 Leacock Rd\, Jasper\, ON\, K0G 1G0). There will be lots of learning opportunities\, including an informative panel on cover crops featuring local farmers and experts and a spray clinic. Don’t miss the Leeds County Federation of Agriculture’s Taste of Success lunch – you’ll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch while celebrating LCFA’s award winners. With an equipment display and booths\, kids zone and plenty of opportunities for networking\, this event will be fun for the whole family! \nTickets are $25 per person. SUMMARY:Hog Manure & Mineralizing Nitrogen for Corn with Ron Martin
DESCRIPTION:Take a field tour with Ron Martin to look at his corn after winter wheat with cover crops (oat peas crimson clover and tillage radish) which was planted after wheat and worked down before winter.
