DESCRIPTION:There is always so much to see and learn at Woodleigh Farms! Norm Lamothe will share how strategies like reduced tillage\, cover cropping\, diverse crop rotations\, soil organic amendments\, precision ag and rotational grazing (new!) work together to help his farm improve soil health and reduce environmental impact while maintaining profitability. \nIn this plot and pasture walking tour\, you’ll see: \n\nA newly established Rotational Grazing System for sheep\nRecently established Operation Pollinator habitat in field margins\nOn-farm biochar composting\nONFARM research plots\nand more!\n\nThis event is FREE to attend. Lunch included. Registration is required.
