Northwest Diagnostics Day

OMAFA and University of Guelph will come together with NOFIA in Emo to deliver a crop diagnostics day, July 28 2026. Building on the success of the Northeast Diagnostic Day in New Liskeard in 2025, the team has aligned again to deliver an informative day of producer education at the Ontario Crops Research Centre – Emo. Specialists from Ontario Ministry of Food and Rural Affairs will be hosted by the University of Guelph researchers, with the event facilitated by the Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance.
This event would be focused on producer education around major crops and weed management, with discussions on topics like Nitrogen Management and Cover Cropping.
The event website and pricing will be set at a later date. This will be a ticketed event.
NOFIA and the New Liskeard team found that the New Liskeard event was really a huge success, with over 80 people in attendance. Despite the weather and thanks to Horst, Joanna, Meghan, Christine, and Ben for making the trip. This year Mike Cowbrough will be attending instead of Megan Moran, with the rest of the team remaining the same.
