Nitrogen Management and Challenges in Corn
October 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Ontario Certified Crop Advisor Association (CCA) and Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) have partnered to deliver training and educational resources to Ontario agrologists. With a focus on cover crops, nitrogen management, and rotational grazing, these sessions will support the objectives of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund. Check out the full webinar series schedule here.
Join us on Wednesday, October 29 with Dr. Dan Quinn for an interactive presentation “Nitrogen Management and Challenges in Corn”. In this webinar, Dr. Dan Quinn dives deep into the complexities of nitrogen management in corn systems, highlighting why this nutrient remains a stubborn challenge despite decades of research and innovation. Nitrogen isn’t going anywhere–literally or figuratively. Its management remains a moving target due to environmental variability, evolving crop genetics, and technological limitations. The solution? Control what you can: minimize losses, optimize timing, and tailor strategies to your field’s unique conditions.
Funding for this project has been provided by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada through the Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS) – On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF).
This event is free to attend. CEU credits are available.
Nitrogen Management and Challenges in Corn is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for applicants with On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) projects in the Nitrogen Management category.
