Join Essex SCIA for their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, December 5.
Location: St. John’s Hall in Woodslee.
Time: 8:30 AM – Registration/payment
9:00 AM – Meeting starts.
Featuring guest speaker Matt McIntosh, on the topic of “Improving local environments while keeping farms profitable.”
Essex County journalist, farmer and Nuffield Scholar Matt McIntosh discusses initiatives designed to help farmers and landowners save or re-establish natural landscapes, without harming the viability of farm businesses. Case studies come from Europe, Brazil and North America, and range in size and scope – as well as effectiveness – but all seek to address growing societal environmental concerns.
