CROP STOP IN-PERSON EVENT SET FOR SEPTEMBER

Woodstock, ON., Aug 5, 2021 – Farmers with a passion for superior field crops will come together to explore what’s on the horizon for new crop varieties, equipment and products in the unique outdoor setting at Crop Stop presented by Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show.

The new event is set for Sept 23 & 24, 2021. It came out of discussions between the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show team and crop companies with plots at the site. Amid COVID-19 uncertainty around large in-person events, planning started on a September event with companies with crop plots and in partnership with branches of the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association. The response was overwhelming with all crop plot areas planted for 2021. Crops will be ready for viewing just before harvest.

“It’s a win-win for everyone,” says Doug Wagner, President of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “The outdoor site at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show provides an excellent place to host farmers and the industry in the field safely as pandemic restrictions ease.”

The in-person, outdoor event is in partnership with Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) and will be located on the Discovery Farm site in Woodstock, ON, home of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. Over the course of two days, industry partners will offer crop plot tours, exhibits with the latest in crop technology and machinery, hands-on tips and ideas to increase crop output and profits.

“Crop Stop in 2021 will feature close interaction between growers and industry leaders and will focus on offering a high-value experience to attendees,” said Chad Anderson, OSCIA President. “We are excited to partner with Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show to provide an opportunity for learning and networking with other progressive farmers.”

Crop Stop attendees must preregister for the event. More information and registration can be found online here: https://crop-stop.eventbrite.com.

As always, the safety of guests, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, staff, suppliers and local communities is of the utmost importance. COVID-19 protocols and extra sanitation measures will be followed for this in-person event in accordance with the Ontario health orders of the day. This includes our guidelines regarding number of guests and masking.
