The OSCIA Website Committee is pleased to provide a progress update on our website redesign for our members.

At the 2021 AGM, a resolution was brought forward to address some concerns with the current OSCIA website. Visitors are directed to our website for numerous reasons, and in its current form, they may have difficulties finding the information that they seek. To make the most out of our online presence there is significant opportunity to better utilize our website real-estate. The solution to address these concerns is to perform a website assessment and redesign to improve user experience. While this has been a significant undertaking, the value gained will be tremendous.

Throughout this journey, we surveyed our website visitors, and we held focus group sessions to better understand what our clients wanted to see on our website. We identified three priorities:

• Enhance website performance
• Provide a new and improved navigation structure
• Develop a consistent page design offering French translation to support navigation for programs

To address these priorities, we have been working with an external web design firm to develop website page templates that are functional and modern to better meet the needs of our clients. We have made significant gains addressing the feedback received and are very excited about all the promising additions to our site.

We recently wrapped up this stage of the redesign and received the templates from the design firm mid-May. Now, we are working on restructuring all the pages on our website into this new modern format, updating content, improving performance, and ensuring consistency with our French pages.

There is still considerable development ahead and although we had initially hoped for a late Spring launch, we want to ensure that we do not rush this process and we do it right the first time. The website is anticipated to launch by late Summer, and we look forward to sharing all the great features and improvements.
