2022 AALP Dream Gala Summer Event UnveiledGUELPH, March 4, 2022 – Rural Ontario Institute’s Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) is pleased to announce it will be hosting “A Whole New World”, the 2022 Dream Gala and Golf Tournament on Friday, June 24, 2022.
It’s time to celebrate, to see new places, greet new people and come together! The 2022 Dream Gala – A whole new world will welcome 400 of Ontario agriculture’s leaders to network and celebrate all while supporting agriculture leadership development in Ontario. This year’s event features a golf tournament at the Victoria East Golf Club, followed by a cocktail semi-formal dinner auction event at the Delta Hotel in Guelph, Ontario, held in support of the Rural Ontario Institute and AALP Class 19.
“Advancing leadership knowledge and skills within agriculture is vital to the future of the agri-food industry. AALP’s unique experiential learning draws participants from all facets of the agriculture system helping leaders grow their networks and understand the challenges and opportunities of all parts of the industry. I am thrilled to be part of the 2022 Dream Gala to support AALP Class 19’s leadership journey,” said Jaime Carson, Co-Chair of the 2022 AALP Dream Gala, and Dairy Nutrition Consultant at B-W Feed.
The auction will offer a limited number of unique items that center around the Gala theme. Auction items will be curated by past and present AALP Classes and will showcase a wide variety of distinctive experiences for bidding.
“We are challenging all AALP classes to create and donate experiences that are designed to encourage people to engage in the world again, from exploring local tastes, to traveling the world, to learning a new skill, or spending time with friends. This year’s AALP Dream Gala and Golf Tournament is starting a new chapter for how we gather together and support our AALP classes,” said Victoria Berry, Co-Chair of the 2022 AALP Dream Gala, and Manager, Communications at Grain Farmers of Ontario.
“This AALP Dream Gala will reimagine a celebration of a decades old tradition of ag-sector leaders gathering in friendship to help a new generation reach its potential”, said Gabe Ferguson, Leadership Programs Director at the Rural Ontario Institute, “We are grateful to our sponsors and to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, who have supported AALP since its inception. We are excited to welcome AALP alumni, sponsors and other friends to this fun event that will build upon this support for those wishing to make a positive difference in Ontario’s dynamic agriculture and food industry.

The Golf Tournament will begin at 9 a.m. and tee times continue throughout the day. Tickets include 18 holes, a golf cart, lunch and a 19th hole beverage tasting. The Dream Gala begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour and tasting experience.
